Clinically-Informed Coaching

Clinically-informed coaching is a highly personal, integrative approach for understanding what sits beneath the patterns affecting your decisions, relationships, leadership, and capacity to make change.

The Process

This work helps you identify the structures that shape how you think, respond, and operate in the world in three phases.

1.
MAP WHAT’S ACTUALLY RUNNING THE SHOW

We start by getting much more precise about what’s happening beneath the problem you came in with.

That may mean mapping how your brain works, identifying beliefs you’ve been operating from without realizing it, looking at the role your nervous system is playing, or getting honest about where your life and your values no longer match.

Sometimes we uncover something like:

I’m responsible for other people’s feelings.

If I disappoint someone, I’ve done something wrong.

I work best under pressure.

If I stop proving myself, people might realize I’m not as valuable as they thought.

The work here is highly individualized. We may look at neurodivergence, identity, attachment, relationships, motivation, executive functioning, values, emotional regulation, leadership, or the experiences that taught you to operate the way you do.

We’re figuring out what is actually driving the pattern—not just managing the symptom.

2.

CHANGE WHAT NO LONGER NEEDS TO RUN YOU

Once we can see what’s happening more clearly, we work with it.

That might mean changing a belief you’ve carried for twenty years, learning to tolerate someone else’s disappointment without immediately fixing it, responding differently to perceived rejection, or recognizing that the strategy responsible for much of your success is also exhausting you.

Some patterns need to be challenged. Some need to be understood. Some need a completely different strategy.

And sometimes the work is realizing that something you’ve spent years trying to “fix” is actually a brain difference that needs to be accommodated rather than corrected.

This is where understanding starts becoming choice.

3.

BUILD A WAY OF OPERATING THAT FITS YOU

Then we translate the work into your actual life.

For one person, that might mean decision-making frameworks that stop hours of rumination. For another, it may be ADHD-friendly systems that work with an interest-based nervous system instead of depending on shame and urgency.

It could mean practicing a different leadership response, redesigning boundaries, changing how you communicate, building specific regulation skills, or structuring your life around what you now know matters most.

I’m not handing you my system and asking you to get better at following it.

We build something that works with your brain, your values, your responsibilities, your relationships, and the life you’re actually trying to live.

Because the point isn’t simply to understand yourself better.

It’s to have more freedom in what you do next.

what you can expect—

Honesty.

Encouragement.

Authenticity.

Throat-punches.

The work we do together is not about staying comfortable. It is about understanding yourself deeply enough to create meaningful, lasting change. That may look like me directly challenging you or delivering a (figurative!) throat-punch. It may also look like me sitting beside you with curiosity, compassion, and unwavering belief in your capacity to grow. While this work is thoughtful and serious, that does not mean that it will always be heavy. I love to laugh, and there is room for humor and even irreverence as we foster a genuine connection and relationship of trust.

Growth tends to happen most powerfully when people feel both challenged and able to be fully themselves. You can expect your mind, patterns, and experiences to be understood in depth—not through assumptions, but through genuine curiosity. The aim is not to fit you into a framework, rather to understand how your unique way of moving through the world developed, how it continues to shape your life today, and how we can disrupt it to drive deeper satisfaction and joy.

WHAT BECOMES POSSIBLE

The work may begin with one problem. What changes rarely stays contained to it.

More capacity for what matters.
Clearer decisions with less internal noise.
Less energy lost to patterns that keep repeating.
More freedom in how you respond.
Change you can sustain, not simply understand.
More satisfaction inside the life you’ve built.
